Week 26

We have had a busy past few weeks around here. We ordered Karson's crib and it was broken. The slats had been damaged in shipment. This particular crib must be popular in the white color because every place that carried this brand was sold out and didn't know when they would receive more. We finally decided on another crib and it should be here soon. I picked out the fabric for the nursery and mom is making the bedding and drapes. Her room is painted, we just need the crown molding put up. Here are a few pictures of what is going on in Karson's nursery. I will post more when everything is put together.

It's a GIRL!!!!!

So, this past Tuesday we went for our U/S. We found out Baby Reaves is a girl. Yes, that's right a girl!!!!! No one ever thought in a million years we would have a girl. (Reason why: Matt is the oldest of 4 boys, his dad has 1 brother who had 3 boys; so now you can see why everyone was expecting a boy) We told our families that day, by giving them a gift that was pink. Matt's mom was speechless, which his dad says never happens. :) Everyone was beyond thrilled, especially Matt and I. The night before we had officially decided on a boy name and a girl name. The names we chose were Connor Matthew and Karson Grace. So, Karson Grace Reaves is measuring just right and is healthy. We are very excited for this little girl to join our family. She is already spoiled and will be even more spoiled when she arrives.

Tomorrow is the BIG Day!!!!

Tomorrow, November 2, we find out if Baby Reaves is a boy or a girl. Today I polled my class to see what they thought and it was a 50/50 vote. I know tonight it will be difficult to sleep due to the excitement. This evening Matt and I are going to sit down and go through our list of names for the baby. Stay tuned to find out!!!!!

16 Week Checkup

We went yesterday for our 16 week checkup. Everything was great! We heard the heartbeat and actually got to hear it move, which was really neat. I think I have felt a few "flutters," but am not exactly sure. The doctor said the further in I get I will definitely know for sure. We scheduled our 20 week appointment and ultrasound for November 2 at 9:15. This is where they do the full body scan and we can hopefully find out the sex of the baby. (Please cooperate Baby Reaves, so we can know what you are.) I am fine with either a boy or a girl, just a long as they are healthy. It worked out where we can go early in the morning on Nov. 2, becuase Matt and I are both off, it is election day and also my daddy's birthday.

150 BPM!! What a lovely sound!

On Tuesday, we went to the doctor for a check-up. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat! That was so exciting to hear and to know our baby has a good, strong heartbeat. We go back to the doctor October 5th.

First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes.....

Lauren and Matt with a baby carriage! We are so excited to be expecting a little bundle of joy in March! We have wanted this for a while and God answered our prayers in His time. Matt and I pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby.
